Job Description:
Global Mechanical is seeking highly motivated and skilled Plumber Journeymen/women or Apprentices to join our team. We have been an industry leader in the maintenance and installation of heating, ventilation, plumbing, air conditioning and refrigeration systems across Manitoba. Global Mechanical has a diverse portfolio of commercial, institutional, and industrial clients with multiple long-term service and maintenance contracts. You'll enjoy consistent hours, primarily spent at one key client, with additional service calls to fill your day. We provide extensive training, ensuring you're equipped to excel in your role. Key Responsibilities:

  • Connect equipment that requires a gas line.
  • Participate in all construction and remodeling projects involving plumbing or gas fitting changes and/or additions.
  • Submit orders for large parts to the Project Manager and/or Service Manager for approval.
  • Develop goals and priorities; assign tasks and projects.
  • Ensure accuracy and completion of assigned tasks and projects.
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance.
  • Keep detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology, compliance and repair techniques.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Appropriate credentials and certifications - Plumber Trade Certification, Plumber Red Seal Certificate.
  • Backflow Tester Certificate and Gas B licence considered an asset.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work independently in a busy environment.
  • Experience with routine maintenance operations.
  • Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allows one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Able to work well under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
  • Computer literate.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $21.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
